Kristoff Vengeance

"The Kristoff Vengeance is a medium-full bodied cigar with rich notes of dark roast espresso bean, sweet mocha, graham cracker, spice and a long creamy cocoa finish.  The Vengeance is nothing short of delectable."   Despite the name, the Vengeance is not as raw and powerful as it may appear. The tobaccos chosen for this exquisitely bold blend deliver a rich, full body of flavor. The dark, oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper is very forward while the Indonesian binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers provide more depth and nuance to experience.

Epic smoke. Select when you have time to savor your cigar. Dark wrapper with oils producing a semi-gloss finish that promises robust flavor. Firm construction while providing perfect draw, this 6 x 60 cigar is a joy to hold. Each end has a small amount of the leaf protruding in a swirl that gives the cigar a novel appearance which also proved quite functional; a sort of jig for the perfect cut when used with my Cuban Crafters cigar cutter. Lightly toasting the fire end of the cigar with a three jet butane lighter, the cigar lit without difficulty and burned true from the start. The cigar has excellent draft and burned without needing relit or refreshed. Full and flavorful from the very beginning, the taste was rich without being harsh. Enjoyed after lunch with a cup of black coffee; this cigar both complemented, and was complemented by my choice of beverage. Confident without being overbearing, I suspect Kristoff’s Vengeance will mix well with a wide variety of libations for the palate accustomed to a moderately full bodied smoke. Just past the 1/3 mark the cigar developed a small run which I attributed more to my technique than to the design of the cigar. The 3/8″ run was limited to the wrap, I rotated the cigar until the run was towards the floor and the cigar self corrected without applying additional flame. In a salute to the cigars structure, the first ash was firm and remained till well over the 1/3 mark, the second ash was also firm and held to the 2/3 mark. Maintaining world class burn and draw, the flavor of the cigar remained cool and was rewardingly consistent throughout the entire smoke. As the cigar had delightfully revealed itself from the very beginning the finish provided a grand finale most cigar lovers longingly anticipate. Quite appropriately named, I literally smoked the Vengeance till my fingers were burning. The value of this cigar is immense. I highly recommend you try Kristoff’s Vengeance and look forward to my next rendezvous.
